Airfield Systems Engineer
Who are we?
We develop and support PAMS systems that provide alarm management for air traffic control towers. These systems use our in-house, UK developed software and allow:
- Air traffic engineers to see an accurate status of all airfield ground based equipment
- Air traffic controllers to see an overview of the equipment in a clear and easy to understand way
PAMS has the potential to be a significantly larger sector for Tascomp, not only in the UK but globally. As a result the business is now aiming to address this with a more targeted approach.
What you will do?
The provision of software and systems for airfields is highly regulated and as a result requires a significant amount of control to be exercised over the system designs, modifications and documentation. Your role will include:
- Engaging with customers
- Producing documentation:
- Functional Design Specifications
- FAT and SAT Test Scripts
- Compliance Documentation
- Configuring the software and systems
- Running witnessed Factory Acceptance Tests
- Delivering Training to customers
- Commissioning new systems
- Visiting customer sites
- Providing support to customers
- Marketing to new prospective customers
